SAGE Veterinary Centers - Campbell is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join our established Oncology service on a part-time basis.
This is an opportunity to step into a collaborative, multidisciplinary specialty environment with an established referral base and the clinical resources to support advanced oncology care. You'll work alongside an experienced group of boarded specialists while having the autonomy to practice medicine your way and help shape the continued growth of oncology services at SAGE Campbell.

The Specialty Team
You'll work closely with boarded specialists in:
- Anesthesiology
- Critical Care
- Neurology
- Medical Oncology
- Radiation Oncology
- Rehabilitation
- Surgery
- Cardiology
You'll also have the support of experienced Emergency and Urgent Care teams and a dedicated group of veterinary support professionals.
This multidisciplinary depth allows our clinicians to collaborate directly on complex cases, from diagnosis and staging through treatment and ongoing management.
The Oncology Opportunity
This role is well suited for an oncologist who values clinical autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility. Working 2 days per week, you'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse oncology caseload while partnering closely with other specialists when patients require a multidisciplinary approach.
Advanced Resources for Oncology Care
SAGE Campbell's recently remodeled hospital provides the diagnostic and treatment capabilities needed to support sophisticated cancer care.
You'll have access to on-site MRI, CT, and C-arm imaging, supporting advanced diagnostic workups, staging, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary case management.
The hospital is also home to a radiation therapy department featuring the Bay Area's only SRT-enabled radiation therapy service, creating an especially strong environment for collaboration between Medical and Radiation Oncology.
SAGE Campbell's commitment to comprehensive patient care extends beyond technology. A dedicated social worker is available to support both clients and team members through difficult medical decisions and challenging cases.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
- Provide comprehensive medical oncology care for referred patients
- Develop individualized diagnostic, staging, and treatment plans for patients with cancer
- Collaborate with Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Neurology, Critical Care, Anesthesiology, Rehabilitation, and Emergency teams
- Utilize advanced imaging and hospital resources to support complex oncology cases
- Communicate thoughtfully with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and ongoing care
- Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and serve as a trusted oncology resource within the community
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and collaborative patient management
- Support and mentor veterinary nurses and other team members involved in oncology care
- Pursue continuing education and develop areas of clinical interest
- Contribute to the continued growth of oncology services at SAGE Campbell
- Help foster a culture centered on collaboration, compassion, innovation, and clinical excellence
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California licensure
- Board Certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology (DACVIM - Oncology) or completion of an approved residency program with board eligibility
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary medicine
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based patient care
- Interest in teaching, mentorship, and continued professional development
- An interest in helping grow and develop an established oncology service
