Leadership Opportunity | Established Cancer Center | No Hospital Call | Up to $850K+ Earning Potential
Help shape the future of Hematology/Oncology in one of California's most desirable coastal communities. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established cancer center as it rebuilds its physician team, with the chance to step into a leadership role or join as an early-career physician. Backed by a strong clinical infrastructure, an experienced APP team, and a loyal patient population, you'll have the support to build a thriving long-term practice.
Practice Overview
- Join a comprehensive cancer program actively recruiting two Hematology/Oncology physicians, including a Medical Director role
- Established cancer center with an 18-chair infusion center conveniently located across from the clinic
- Experienced support team includes 2-3 Advanced Practice Providers, nurse triage, and dedicated oncology staff
- Strong patient retention with approximately 90% of patients remaining in the practice despite recent physician departures
- Collaborative relationships with local oncology specialists, radiation oncology, and regional health systems
- Expected clinic volume averages approximately 18 patients per day, allowing time to build meaningful patient relationships while growing the practice
Schedule
- Outpatient-focused practice with dedicated inpatient rounding responsibilities
- No traditional hospital call
- Phone-only call supported by an experienced nurse triage team
- Opportunity to help shape the future call structure as the physician team grows
Compensation & Benefits
- Generous base salary with increase for Medical Directorship
- Up to $50,000 annual quality incentive
- Productivity incentives with earning potential of $800,000-$850,000+
- $50,000 sign-on bonus
- $25,000 retention bonus beginning in year three

Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Open to experienced physicians and new graduates
- Passion for building a collaborative, patient-centered oncology program
