Inspira Health, the region’s leading network of healthcare providers, is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist to join our Urgent Care team on a float schedule in Mannington, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general x-ray and administrative duties including, but not limited to, providing clinical and supportive services to patients, providers, and staff, greeting patients, and creating or verifying, analyzing and updating patient insurance information. You may also be assigned to various offices including medical specialty departments. This position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $33.11 - $46.35.
Responsibilities:
- Complete specimen collection, prepare for exams, collect patient history information, explain financial requirements, collect copays, and relay procedure instructions to patients as necessary
- Perform screening procedures and diagnostic radiographic examinations as prescribed by a licensed physician or chiropractor utilizing radiation producing equipment
- Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls and appropriately route them, offering voicemail, paging, or redirection as needed
- Fulfill organizational responsibilities as assigned including respecting/promoting patient rights, responding appropriately to emergency codes, and sharing problems relating to patients with immediate supervisor
- Transport patients to examination room and provide radiation protection, including proper collimation (and shielding) for patients in accordance with regulatory standards and ALARA principles
- Evaluate images for technical quality and prepare image media and necessary documents for interpretation by a radiologist or privileged physician
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA approved accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- RT licensure in the State of New Jersey required; ARRT registry preferred
- American Heart Association CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- At least 6 months of prior experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of exam protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients served (neonate, pediatric, adult or geriatric)
- Ability to lift, push, and position patients, supplies, and equipment and stand/walk for extended periods of time
