- Radiation Therapist in Veterinary Oncology (Part-Time or Full-Time)

ABOUT US:
Missouri Animal Cancer Care is a specialty veterinary practice dedicated to advanced oncology care. We utilize a linear accelerator (LINAC), specifically a Varian Clinac 21EX, to provide radiation therapy for our patients and are seeking a skilled professional to support our growing clinic.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
If you’re an experienced radiation therapist feeling the strain of high patient volume, rigid schedules, or burnout in a hospital setting—we’d love to offer you something different. We are seeking a part-time or full-time Radiation Therapist to work closely with our veterinary radiation oncologist in delivering radiation therapy treatments and supporting ongoing LINAC operations. This role includes both treatment-day responsibilities and technical oversight, including machine maintenance, quality assurance, and troubleshooting. (The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is responsible for placing intravenous catheters, administering and monitoring sedation protocols as directed by the veterinarian, and performing endotracheal intubation and extubation.)
REQUIRED:
ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (R.T.(T))
Experience working with linear accelerator (LINAC) equipment
Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols
SCHEDULE:
Part Time or Full Time
Part Time - 20 hours - Monday - Wednesday - 2 hours, Thursday 11am-4pm, and Friday 8am-5pm
Full Time - 30 hours - Add hours different days to have full time status
We are flexible regarding the specific hours worked each day to accommodate the applicant’s schedule; however, once established, the daily hours must remain consistent to support a reliable and predictable schedule.
Requirements
Deliver radiation therapy treatments using LINAC equipment
Collaborate with veterinary radiation oncologist and anesthesia team
Perform and document machine QA and safety checks
Assist with treatment planning workflow
Monitor and maintain radiation safety standards and compliance
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service when needed
Maintain accurate treatment and maintenance records
Oversee and coordinate medical physicist services as needed
