Description
The Mass General Brigham Department of Radiation Oncology is recruiting an MD, DO, DO/PhD, or MD/PhD, board-eligible or board-certified radiation oncologist for a clinical, academic rank at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and track record. Harvard Medical School appointments require approval and a minimum of 50 hours per year of teaching Harvard learners. Candidates must have completed their residency in an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology program and/or fellowship in an accredited US training program and have a track record of excellence in clinical care and research. The candidate must have exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a collegial, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
This job could be situated at our Academic Medical Centers in Boston (Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Mass General Hospital) and/or at a network location(s). The Radiation Oncology Department is equipped with Varian linear accelerators with integrated imaging capabilities, a proton cyclotron with 3 treatment rooms, a single gantry proton synchrotron, an MR-Linac, GE & Siemens CT Simulators, Siemens MR Simulator, HDR brachytherapy suites, and Raystation, Eclipse, and Oncentra treatment planning systems. The department, including our network-based locations, treats over 1000 patients per day. The department is fully supported by a talented team of radiation therapists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and administrative support staff.
