Full-time | Sydney, Australia
Practise cutting-edge oncology, and still have time for life beyond work
ONE Cancer Care for Pets is a growing, multi-hospital veterinary oncology service in Sydney. As our caseload and team continue to expand, we're seeking a Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join us, either as a board-certified specialist or as a residency-trained clinician working towards board certification.
About the service
You’ll work across state-of-the-art facilities with advanced diagnostics and treatment, including ultrasound, radiology, CT, MRI and external beam radiation therapy. Your colleagues will include a dual-boarded Diplomate in Medical and Radiation Oncology, a senior oncology clinician, an oncology resident and a dedicated oncology nursing team.
The role
You'll provide advanced medical oncology care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working alongside colleagues in radiation oncology, imaging, surgery and other specialist disciplines. The role spans our three Sydney hospitals in Artarmon, Terrey Hills and Concord West, providing access to a broad network of specialist expertise and emergency support.
You'll have opportunities to contribute to clinical development, mentor interns and residents, and pursue research interests in collaboration with colleagues across the wider specialist network.
About you:
- Board-certified in Medical Oncology (ACVIM Oncology, ECVIM-CA Oncology or FANZCVS in Oncology), or have completed an accredited medical oncology residency and be eligible to sit the relevant specialist examinations
- Eligible to register as a veterinarian in New South Wales
- Passionate about clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration and teaching
What we offer:
- Remuneration: Competitive salary + 12% employer superannuation/pension contributions, CPD allowance and support for relevant specialist board examinations, where applicable
- Leave & Flexibility: Generous leave entitlements including annual leave, study leave, paid parental leave and a full-time position structured across four working days per week
- Relocation support: Dedicated immigration assistance throughout the visa process, relocation support tailored to individual and family circumstances, and guidance through the Australian veterinary registration process
- Wellbeing & Culture: Access to mental health and Employee Assistance Programs, employee benefits, and a culture that values collaboration, professional growth, and work-life balance
- Professional Development: Access to the wider VetPartners Specialty Network for mentorship, research collaboration, multidisciplinary specialist support and professional networking
