Description

Medical Oncology locums coverage in Illinois with a mix of daytime inpatient coverage and overnight call, supported by on-site APPs. Shared coverage model with multiple locums, so shifts can flex based on your availability.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient adult oncology coverage.
• Direct patient care including consults, admissions, follow ups, and hospital rounding as needed.
• Collaborate closely with on-site APPs for consults, follow ups, orders, and ongoing patient management.
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary cancer team and hospital consulting services for continuity of care.

Schedule

• Day shift and night call coverage, day shift is 8a to 4p, night call is 4p to 8a.
• Weekend 24 hour call coverage as needed, 8a to 8a.
• 24 hour call with a 30 minute response time.
• Coverage is shared among multiple locum physicians, number of shifts varies with overall coverage needs and your availability.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board certified in Medical Oncology.
• Active Illinois medical license.
• BLS, DEA, and CSR required.
