Inpatient Medical Oncology Opportunity in Palm Beach, Florida
Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ an Inpatient Medical Oncologist to join its well-established program at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute (LCI), part of Baptist Health Cancer Care, which has been awarded 11 High Performing ratings from U.S. News & World Report (2025-2026), for colon, lung, prostate, gynecological, blood, and complex cancers. The Lynn Cancer Institute treats an estimated 4,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients each year in facilities such as a Harvey & Phyllis Sandler Pavilion, our state-of-the-art cancer center; as well as our other respective satellite locations in Delray Beach.
- Full-Time In-Patient Opportunity
- Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
- Ideal candidates will have experience with inpatient coverage, preferred
- Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and successful completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
- Candidates will have hospital-based oncology consulting experience, a thorough understanding of and ability to manage acute complications in non-hematologic cancers, and experience developing interdisciplinary and systemic treatment plans including diverse therapies
- Position reports to the Medical Director of Medical Oncology, and is supported by a team of advanced practice providers and fellow oncologists
- Manage inpatient hematology oncology service/census of an average of 25 patients a day
- Shared call service amongst 16-18 physicians = 1:6 call at 1 hospital site
