- Advanced Practice Provider - Radiation Oncology

UW Health Northern Illinois Center is looking for an Advance Practice Provider to join the Radiation Oncology team at the Carbone Cancer Center in Rockford, IL. Our philosophy is to provide compassionate, supportive, comprehensive cancer care for our community.
The Advance Practice Provider is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with our team of Radiation Oncologists, PA and APRN. The provider must demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with cancer, intervene in managing treatment, side effects, and will also educate patients and their families regarding their disease process. They are responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
Your clinical support includes the following:
- Full-time practice supporting hard working Radiation Oncologists
- Provide care and educate families on treatment plans, coordinate care and maintenance of health
- Clinic patient schedule of Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from accredited PA program or completion of a master’s level advanced practice nurse program.
- Active PA license in State of IL and Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
- Experience in oncology desired or individual eager to learn the practice in Radiation Oncology
