Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Hematology / Oncology for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Job Description & Requirements

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed

Required: step down and ONS/ONCC required.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with varying health conditions, ranging from simple to complex.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned group of patients, ensuring quality care delivery.
• Document patient responses to interventions and treatments; update changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and obtain physiological data, intervening as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Develop and share care plans with patients and families, including discharge instructions.
• Educate patients and families on hospital procedures.
• Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff.

General Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
• Strong organizational, planning, and evaluation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to address cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program.

Required Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
