Join a thriving, expanding Sleep Medicine program at Carilion Clinic, located in the heart of Southwest Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. We are seeking a full-time BC/BE Sleep Medicine Physician to become part of our growing team, which covers a vast area of this corner of Virginia and is part of our academic Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

Carilion’s comprehensive sleep program performs over 4,500 sleep studies each year with 4 AASM accredited Sleep Labs. The team is supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with pediatric sleep specialists, as well. Multiple pathology is routinely seen in our clinics to include complex apnea, narcolepsy, movement disorders, etc. You will join a well-established team of collegial and experienced board-certified sleep physicians dedicated to clinical excellence, innovative care, and improving the health of our communities. As part of our academic division, we welcome those bringing new ideas, research initiatives and a deep interest in teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with varied sleep-related conditions.
• Interpret sleep studies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and help with new care pathways to optimize sleep health across the system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
• Participation in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
•  Engage in continuing education and remain current with Sleep Medicine best practices and AASM guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Sleep Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, education and teamwork.
