Lift Cancer Care Services is offering a unique funded Clinical Fellowship for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist ready to transition into specialist oncology and lymphoedema practice.
This national opportunity has been designed to support the development of the future cancer care workforce through structured training, mentoring and meaningful clinical work supporting people living with and beyond cancer.
About Lift Cancer Care Services
Lift is a leading supportive cancer care provider integrating Exercise Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Psychology and medical services into cancer treatment pathways based in Adelaide.
We believe lymphoedema care should be proactive, evidence-based and embedded within multidisciplinary oncology care.
What the Fellowship Includes
- Funding for accredited lymphoedema training through Macquarie University
- Completion of Upper Limb & Breast and Lower Limb & Genital lymphoedema units
- Return flights from your closest capital city to Sydney
- Attendance at face-to-face practical training (July 7–10, 2026)
- Structured clinical mentoring and supervision
- Integration into an experienced multidisciplinary oncology team
- Ongoing physiotherapy employment at Lift following training
- Total fellowship value approximately $5,000–$7,000.
Requirements
About the Role
Following completion of training, the successful fellow will:
- Assess and manage lymphoedema presentations across oncology populations
- Support patients across treatment and survivorship phases
- Work collaboratively with Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Psychologists and Medical Specialists
- Contribute to clinical innovation and service development
About You
We are seeking Physiotherapists who:
- Have 5+ years musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience
- Demonstrate strong manual therapy and clinical reasoning skills
- Are motivated to specialise in oncology rehabilitation and lymphoedema care
- Value multidisciplinary teamwork and patient-centred care
- Are excited by innovation and leadership in cancer care
- Prior oncology experience is desirable but not essential.
Fellowship Commitment
To support continuity of care and responsible investment in specialist training, the successful applicant will commit to a minimum two-year employment period at Lift following completion of training.
If the fellowship concludes earlier, a pro-rata contribution toward training costs may apply.
Key Dates
