- Integrative Oncology Opportunity in Miami, Florida
Description
Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ an Integrative Oncology Physician to join the Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute (HWCI), part of Baptist Health Cancer Care. HWCI is a nationally recognized destination for comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care and Florida's only member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance. The Institute brings together more than 116 dedicated physicians delivering comprehensive cancer care, participates in nearly 200 active clinical trials exploring innovative therapies, and performs more than 46,500 infusion visits and 20,350 diagnostic procedures annually. Baptist Health Cancer Care has earned 11 High Performing ratings from U.S. News & World Report (2025–2026) for colon, lung, prostate, gynecological, blood, and complex cancers.

- Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM)
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM) is strongly preferred
- Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and formal Integrative Medicine fellowship training is preferred
- Opportunity to help expand a growing Integrative Oncology program dedicated to evidence-informed, whole-person care for patients throughout their cancer journey
- Provide comprehensive outpatient integrative oncology care utilizing evidence-informed approaches to support symptom management, survivorship, wellness, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and quality of life
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, supportive care, nutrition, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and survivorship services to deliver comprehensive cancer care
- Deliver patient and physician education related to integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and whole-person cancer care
- Participate in clinical research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities aligned with institutional priorities
- Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute has been recognized by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) for promoting ethically sound and safe human subjects research practices
