Description
The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL offers a one-year Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship, which is an ACGME-accredited program that focuses on electroencephalography and electromyography, with one-month elective opportunities in sleep medicine or evoked potentials and is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill one fellowship position for academic year 2026-2027. The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship, overseen by a core Neuromuscular and Epilepsy faculty of ten physicians, is unique in its cooperative clinical and didactic relationship with the John H Stroger Jr Hospital’s Department of Neurology and exposure to multidisciplinary MDA and ALS Clinics at Rush as well as specialized epilepsy clinics including a dietary clinic, women’s clinic, neuromodulation clinic, and comprehensive older adults’ clinic. In addition, fellows will be well trained in routine EEGs, long term continuous EEG monitoring in both intensive care unit and epilepsy monitoring unit settings and will have exposure and training in pediatric EEG. This fellow would join 1 other Clinical Neurophysiology Fellow, 2 Epilepsy fellows, and 1 Neuromuscular fellow and communicate closely with other trainees in the specialties of Neuro-Intensive Care, Movement Disorders, Neuro-Immunology, and Vascular, creating excellent fellow level comradery. In 2025, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rush University Medical Center No. 5 in the country for neurology and neurosurgery and was No. 1 in Illinois for neurology and neurosurgery.
